Brandenburg UMC Seeking Children's Ministry Leader

United Methodist Church of Brandenburg, KY seeks a children’s ministry leader to grow and maintain a vibrant children’s ministry within the church while creating relationships and ministry outreach into the community. The Director will develop and lead a children’s ministry program from birth to 6th grade that is integrated with the BUMC Mission, Vision and Values and engages and inspires children and families in developing children in their spiritual life with the ability to build trusting relationships with children, their parents and greater church family. Enthusiastic team-player who creates a culture of recruitment, training and empowerment of volunteers.

The ideal candidate will bring experience and a joyful spiritual attitude to their responsibilities which include organizing and implementing weekly Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, and Wednesday Night Classes, Children’s Church, Children’s moment, Service Projects, Family activities, and outreach initiatives to children and their families in the community.The Director will be responsible for the BUMC Safe Sanctuary program, health and safety of children while participating in BUMC activities and inspiring, leading and organizing volunteers for the children’s ministry.
 
Qualifications:  Ideally, the Children’s Ministries leader will possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of general education and religious education experience and have a minimum of 2 years of faith-based teaching and/or ministry leadership.  We require this person to embody a deep commitment to Christ and share a United Methodist background or compatible theological perspective and committed to the Mission, Vision and Values of the Brandenburg United Methodist Church (BUMC)
 
This position reports to the Senior Pastor.

Salary:  Part-time position commensurate with experience
