Bishop Leonard Fairley Connects with the Scouts
posted on June 28
Bishop Leonard Fairley toured Camp Crooked Creek, one of the Lincoln Heritage Council Campsites, which is in the Heartland District. Steve Bays, the Kentucky Conference Scouting Director, directed the tour. They were joined by Rev. Paul Frederick, who is a Scout Leader and the Council's Religious Emblems Coordinator.
Bishop Fairley met scouts and leaders from all over Kentucky, as well as leaders from Mosaic UMC, St. Matthews UMC, and from the troop sponsored by the Kavanaugh Enrichment Center at the Kentucky Conference office.
The United Methodist Church is the largest supporter and sponsor of scouting in America.
